Streamer fishing flies are generally attractors designed to deceive the fish. They represent such things as tadpoles, leeches and fish fry which they eat as a main part of their diet or as an attractor which are brightly coloured and annoy the fish into striking. Streamers can be used to catch any predatory fish such as trout, pike and musky and they often strike from aggression. They will work on a fast or slow retrieve just keep it moving in an erratic manner.
